Part 2~ and finding old things in your closet

Continuing with the theme of my last post: the convergence of florals and dangerously beautiful studs.

Since it is still below 50 degrees here in my neighborhood of the midwest, the inclusion of pants in my outfits would probably be the most practical but I am just so done with pants. I’m at the point of starting my own nudist colony. But who needs nudity when you find awesome old rompers in your closet?!

It’s practically the best feeling ever to find things that you forgot you owned. I’ve been moving back and forth between houses for the last few months, so in my desperate attempts to rummage around my old closet for something to wear, I found this loverly little floral number.

[Floral romper by Angie, purchased at Marshall’s ~$15][Denim vest from a thrift shop in San Francisco $9][Studded iPhone case from Urban Outfitters $28]

I wore this romper for my high school senior pictures taken in my mother’s garden by my friend Lillie so it will always have a nice sentimental attachment:

—and it will definitely be going into the suitcase this summer when I’m road tripping to music festivals with the boyfrannnd.

I added the denim vest because 1. Demin vests are badass and give it a rockstar vibe and 2. I don’t have any fun belts with me (sad face). The thing about rompers is that they are usually just all one pattern throughout and are almost always in dire need of some interesting accessories.

Lastly: I’ve been obsessed with this new iPhone case. Why? The gold studs of course.

I feel like I really don’t need to elaborate.

I love florals but I’ve always had an edge to my style and the current stud/spike trend is the perfect outlet for that need of mine to feel like a notorious badass. (I’m really not but boy does it boost my confidence around clearly cooler people).
